Best Things of My Job

Mr. Anies Baswedan (governor candidate of Jakarta) initiated a program to send talented intelligent youth of Indonesian to teach children in rural area of Indonesia for one full year. The program is called Indonesia Mengajar (IM). Beside IM, there is also a program that has propose to inspire children to have dream to be a successful person with certain job, called Kelas Inspirasi. People form different background of job visit children in schools to explain about what they do in their job, and certainly to inspire children to dream to be one. It is held in almost all province in Indonesia.
Inspired from Kelas Inspirasi, last Sunday, brother Agus led HUT activity so that every members explained their job in different situation. The challenges was every one should explain about the best and the challenges they have in doing their job in certain situation. Situation here was the audiences, we pretended to present and explain our job in front of students, women, Karang Taruna youth, or other audiences.

[Sister Marina] She explained her job as a manager who like to manage things. The challenge in doing her job is to manage time. Sometime it’s very hard to keep things in schedule. But she solve this problem by keeping remember the purpose of her life.
[Brother Yazid] He is a English lecturer. He explain his job in front of people in rural campong. He explained about how to do PPL in rural area. He told us that we need to do preparation, implementation of the plan, and last to do reflection.
[Brother Hendra] He worked in hotel, especially to arrange decoration for wedding party.

[Sister Tika] She explained her job as lecturer in front of Karang Taruna youth. She told them that being a lecturer is a very nice job. It makes us face lot of people (students) that turns us to be a famous person. Lecturer also keep us smart. We keep doing researches and study time by time. Lecturer also do travel to lot of places. We need to attend conferences in different places and it makes us travel to different cities and countries.
[Sister Desi] Sister Desi needed to speak in front of so many students. She told them how to get dreams. First, is to ask Allah swt to bless our dreams. Second, is to respect our parents, especially mother. Third, is be diligent in study.

[Sister Dila] She address her self as a teacher instead of a lecturer. She told us that teacher gives not only learning materials, but also motivation.
[Brother Agus] As journalist, he has daily activity to write and to dig information, meet important people, and visit some places. He also need to write in online and offline magazines. And he also do travel to lot of places. The challenge being a journalist is he needs to do his task everyday, even in holiday.

Well, not every presenter explained the challenge and best of their job, but we do learned to speak English in front of people :)
