Aisya

Aisya (May Allah be pleased with her) was a daughter of one of great Khalifah of Islam, Abu Bakar as Siddiq. She was most devout, beautiful girl and then wed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in a young age. This marriage is being criticized to discredit the Prophet, that she was a child bride.

It is so sad when a bright intelligence women, Aisya, is only valued by her marriage in a young age, while there are so many things we can learn from her.

• She was a daughter of Abu Bakar as Siddiq, a man who was known by his truthful and one of best companion of prophet Muhammad SAW. She inherited her father great character. She was called the “most truthful daughter of the most truthful one”

• Aisya was with the prophet Muhammad SAW when he migrated from Mecca to Medina. She was with Him in so many battles against the kafir.

• Aisya was the only women who never married to other man before and after Muhammad SAW

• Aisya narrated more than 2000 hadist and had a huge contribution to the spread of it. She was also had narrated lot of hadist especially related to women’s problems. One of it was the hadist about the women whose marriage was forced by their parents. That women came to Aisha, and then Aisya asked this matter to Rasulullah SAW. Later on, established that a woman’s choice in marriage was hers to make.
